Safety training tailored for innovators and developers

We know that innovation often comes with risk.

Our training programme, the first of its kind, is tailored specifically for individuals and teams that develop electric vehicles and components in a pre-homologation environment. Workplaces where the safety standards may not yet be met or set, but where the safety risks are still very real.

Safety training courses often focus on teams who are working with EVs that have been approved and regulated, where vehicles and parts meet established safety standards.

We understand what you need

Our experience is with teams who are working in testing, development and research, where the unique nature of the work means that the issues and risks you’re facing may be new and novel. We’re one of those teams ourselves! Our training courses help you to identify risks in the face of uncertainty, and manage hazards.

Safety is everyone’s responsibility

Designed for everyone in the company, our courses are banded by role and experience, helping all your staff to work in a safer and more risk-aware way, particularly around high voltage and new EV components.

EV-informed person

This on-demand video course is for staff who might work around new and experimental vehicles, but not repair or dismantle them, such as sales, administration or cleaning. They are not mechanics or developers but work closely alongside them, in that environment.

The course features to video sessions and a multi-choice test.

EV-competent person

This in-person one day course is for technical staff who work on electric vehicles, when the vehicle has been powered down, documented, and signed off by an authorised or senior authorised person

EV-authorised person

This in-person two-day course is for technical staff who:

Are/will be qualified to power down and check that the high voltage systems outside of the battery pack are not live.

Have the technical knowledge to inspect and document that the vehicle is powered down, and hand over the vehicle to EV-competent employees.

EV Senior authorised person

This in-person course comprises two days of training and a practical assessment, to ensure the participant has knowledge and abilities from the previous training bands, and also enables the trainee to work safely on high voltage testing, development and research where live working cannot be avoided.
